I approach creative problems with a detail-focused, systems mindset. This allows me to gain a lot of salient knowledge, understand the depth and breadth of the problem, and fuel strong discernment.

This approach often looks like:

• A lot of upfront curiosity
• Few assumptions
• A ton of research
• Ongoing creative exploration
• Any tools currently at my fingertips (analytics, human-to-human collaboration, human-to-AI collaboration, research, etc.)

I have two tech stacks depending on the nature of my work.

For UX/UI, I primarily use:

• FigJam for whiteboarding
• Figma for wireframing, UI, and prototyping
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation

For Graphic Design, I primarily use:

• Adobe InDesign for print publications
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation
• Figma for static social media content creation
• Adobe Lightroom for photo editing
• Adobe Premiere Rush for video social media content creation

If I had to create a "stack" for the foundational qualities that I bring into my everyday work as a professional, they would look something like this:

• A delightful personality

I believe the best designs emerge from identifying a clear problem and seeking to solve it through creative exploration and collaboration.

In my practice as a designer, I make data-supported decisions, strive to facilitate human-to-human creative collaboration, design for the audience in order to meet business needs, and use harm-reduction tactics to minimize manipulative UI patterns.

Outside of work and the field of design:

• I am an avid photographer with a focus on nature. I let myself enjoy the small details that can only be observed by slowing down and spending a little time quietly observing.
• I am a forever student, always joining community workshops to learn something new. My current area of focus is nature with topics like backyard land stewardship, water conservation, and rare native plant research.
• Some special interests of mine are city planning with regards to public transportation and aging-in-place, service dog training, and crocheting.
